Set different stages for Lead/Opportunity Form View

If you have noticed in kanban view Opportunities, there are many stages visible and same stages sometimes not available in form view of Opportunity.  Today we will explain you the reason behind it.

In order to view those stages into form view, we need to do configurations for that. But before going for that, we need to understand how that setting is going to work. Let me take an example here for that. Consider you have different sales teams available for your different departments in company. Now for each sales team you want to set different stages like as follows,

Let me take an example here for that. Consider you have different sales teams available for your different departments in company. Now for each sales team you want to set different stages like as follows,   

Team Stages
Marketing Won, Lost
Direct Sales Qualification, Proposition, Negotiation, Won, Lost
Online Sales In Progress, Dead, Won, Lost, Negotiation

The key thing here is the Sales Team ! Let's see, if company has three sales teams, Marketing, Direct Sales and Online Sales. Now in opportunity, when creating it, user can select related sales team and based on that selected sales team, system identifies the stages which needs to be shown into form view.

In order to configure stages per sales team, go to menu Sales >> Sales Teams, and open any record. You can set stages for particular sales team. So when you select that sales team in opportunity, stages will automatically make visible stages which you have configured over in that sales team.
